In today's fast paced society of change, of struggling to keep up and ahead, life can be lonely and tiring. "We believe that living our faith through worship, fellowship, and service all bring meaning and purpose to a love-filled life in Christ."
The church of Jesus Christ, locally and worldwide, is called by Christ to be a place where YOU CAN BELONG to a family of loving, caring people. Calvary Church is a local, caring congregation of the United Church of Christ.

Our church activities are many to include and interest people of all ages. Calvary's entire facility is handicapped accessible, and our Christian Education programs include Sunday School for all ages and Summer Vacation Bible School.

Calvary's outreach programs are both local and worldwide. Our worship is a time of joy, prayer, praise, and Bible study. An important part of this worship is the use of music to help express our faith.

If you are seeking a caring, growing church to renew and refresh you, please give us an opportunity to be your "Friends in Christ" at Calvary United Church of Christ. We anxiously await the warmth and blessing of your presence in worship, study, service, and fellowship. God loves us, Jesus loves us and shows us how to love one another. Through the church of Jesus Christ we come to understand all this in a personal, growing and rewarding way.
February 2016
Come and join us to experience the season of Lent…a time to quiet our minds, to reflect on the life of Jesus, to draw closer to God.
Our journey will begin on Ash Wednesday, February 10th at 7:15 pm. We will share in the Sacrament of Holy Communion by Intinction. There will also be ashes available as a reminder of our humanity. The ashes will be from the palms blessed on Palm Sunday last year.
We will also share in the Sacrament of Holy Communion on the first Sunday in Lent, February 14th.
Once again this year, we will gather for Worship on Wednesday evenings in Lent at 7:15 pm. This year we will remember Jesus as the Embodied Word and reflect on the different senses. Following is a schedule:

Week One—Touch—February 17th
Week Two—Sight—February 24th
Week Three—Taste—March 2nd
Week Four—Hearing—March 9th
Week Five—Smell—March 16th

Wednesday evening Worship will include times for prayer, spoken Word, quiet reflection, and song. Join us as we experience Jesus’ humanity through our own senses.

We have heard some folks comment that they struggle to join us for Worship on Sunday mornings.  Beginning this month, we are going to offer an additional time of Worship at 2:00 pm on the 3rd Sunday of the month.  Our time together will include space for prayer, raising our voices in song, a message from Pastor Linda, and Holy Communion.
Spread the word to your friends and neighbors who may be looking for an afternoon Worship. We hope this offering will reach some folks who yearn for a time to be in Worship later in the day.
We look forward to seeing you at 2 pm on Sunday, February 21st
